It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time to write a post about gratitude!

Think of someone you admire. Imagine that you have just spent the day with them, being around them, soaking up all of their wisdom. How does it make you feel? Energized, positive, inspired?
And when you feel this way, isn’t it completely normal to want to feel this way even more? So wouldn’t it make sense to continue seeking out people that you admire and look up to and making sure to surround yourself with their wisdom?
As human beings, we learn by example. We mimic and imitate what we see others around us doing – it’s human nature. So imagine that you only surround yourself with positive people who are getting out there and sharing their positive messages with the world. The more you surround yourself with this energy, the easier it will be for you to begin to spread your own positive message. You will have seen that it can be done. You will have a framework to go by. You will be operating on the same positive vibration as those you admire – you automatically raise your frequency to match theirs.
And this exchange of energy works even if you aren’t in the same room as your mentor – even if you don’t know them personally. Each time you hear them speak or read their book, you are raising your vibration to their positive level.
I love the first Wednesday of each month because I get to listen to Jack Canfield speak on his Ask Jack phone call. He is someone that I deeply admire, and just hearing him speak immediately changes my vibration into one of calmness, groundedness, and positivity. Hearing his words of wisdom and encouragement always helps motivate me to be my best self and share my message with as many people as I can.
We all have people that we admire. They don’t have to be famous – it can be a spouse, friend, author, speaker, member of your community, etc. Take a moment to think about what about them inspires you to live your best life. How have you changed as a result of knowing them and spending time with them? What are some concrete steps you can take to continue to surround yourself with people similar to this person?
I am so grateful for inspirational mentors who help teach us that our messages have always been inside of us. I am grateful that by surrounding ourselves with their energy, we gain the confidence needed to bring these messages into the world.
A good post Jodi. There are some persons that can lift your spirit even at your lowest moment. Such persons are to be treasured. Thanks for your always enlightening posts. They help to lift my spirit.
Judy
Thanks, Judy! I’m so glad my posts help lift your spirit. Reading that helps to lift mine. 🙂
Each person in my life is inspirational. At least I view them as that. I always try to look at the best in people. Everyone has a good side and a bad side. I try to concentrate on their good side and ignore their bad side. Thank you for your great in sites.
Seeing the best in people is a great way to live, Linda. Thank you for being you.
I have several people I admire. One is a little girl in my life. I’ve learned a lot about the will of the human spirit and there’s more patience in me than I ever knew.
🙂
Thank you for another great post, Jodi! You are an inspiration yourself to all who know you! The qualities we admire in others are the same ones we have within ourselves we most wish to express. That’s why when we want to inspire, we attract people who inspire us. At a practical level, it simply takes a lot more effort to spend time with people who aren’t vibrating at the same frequency. That’s why those who aren’t a vibrational match for us naturally and gradually fall away from our lives and we attract those who are a match. Anyway, thanks for being an inspiration, Jodi!
Thank you so much, Alice! You are such a great inspirer and definitely inspire me and so many others with your kindness, wisdom, and love! Great wisdom here, as always!
