I’ve been feeling extra stressed lately. Have you been feeling it, too? It’s the kind of stress where life seems to be spinning faster than I can keep up with – the kind where I start to feel like I’m spinning, too. The kind where I feel my heart beating harder and my head aching more. Where my body is tense and my mind is having trouble keeping it all straight. Where my to-do list has gone from being a one-page list to an entire notebook.
Right in the midst of all of this spinning, I received a beautiful gift from the universe. (Don’t you love it when that happens?)
My friends, Angela Artemis and Steve Aitchison created a guided meditation program that I have had the honor of using for the past month. It is exactly what I needed. When I was feeling afraid to write my book, I listened to the calming meditation about opening up to my intuition and ended up writing for nine hours straight! When I just needed to relax my body, I listened to Angela’s soothing voice bring me back into complete relaxation.
As many of you know from my previous posts, I have resisted meditating my entire life. Sitting still with my own thoughts was a bit scary for me. But I kept hearing a persistent whisper from my soul urging me to give it a try, and that’s when this program appeared. I have found another way to journey to my soul, which I am forever grateful for.
Re-Awakening Guided Meditation Program
If you’re feeling stressed and tightly wound, too, this program is definitely for you! It contains 10 guided meditations, 3 books, a workbook, and an instruction guide!
The guided meditations are beautiful, grounding, and calming. And this course would be amazing if that’s all it was. But it’s so much more! The books explain the benefits of guided meditation, the power of silence, and importance of opening our hearts. They are all so insightful and perfect complements to the recordings.
I really feel that when we become active participants in our own lives, magic begins to happen. And the meditation workbook in this course helps us to exactly that. We get to create our own visualizations, which will enable us to achieve our dreams. Our thoughts become reality, and this is the perfect way to make our dreams come true.
For anyone who is also moving faster than they can keep up with, this is the course that will help them come back to their centered, grounded self again. For anyone who hears the whispers inside their soul, begging them to take time to go within, this meditation course is a wonderful way to do exactly that. For anyone who has been afraid to meditate, this course is soothing and gentle and not scary at all.
I can’t believe how comprehensive it is. I know that I’ll use it for the rest of my life.

The Interview
I sat down with Angela to talk about this program and her own meditation practice. She has such a warm, loving soul, and I’m excited to share our conversation with you!
This program is so comprehensive, and I know it took you and Steve years to create it. Why are you so passionate about helping others through guided meditation?
I’ve been meditating for over 25 years now and have also been a meditation instructor. Meditating on a daily basis has affected me tremendously in a very positive manner. When you meditate you become calmer and take things in stride. Things don’t bother you like they used to. You don’t create or attract drama in your life and as a consequence you’re happier all around. You also become much more productive and successful at anything you do. Your enhanced focus and clarity create the environment for achieving at very high levels.
Meditating on a daily basis is like taking vitamins for the soul. When you are connected to your soul you are connected to your intuition. And, as I explained, when you are connected to your intuition your life flows with grace and ease. Meditation is the key ingredient to enhancing your intuitive abilities. The longer you have been meditating, the more intuitive you become.
Steve and I wanted to help others get the benefits of meditation in the easiest fastest way possible. Stress is huge problem in our lives today. Never before have we humans been so “busy” all the time. Our bodies and minds weren’t designed for this kind of continual stress. We need to learn how to relax because, over time, unchecked stress can seriously harm you.
Most people don’t meditate for two reasons: They don’t know where to start because there are so many different types of meditation. Or, they say they don’t have time. We addressed both of these factors in this “plug and play” program that brings you the benefits of meditation and goal manifesting in 15 minutes a day.
I am not able to see pictures in my mind’s eye, but the guided meditations were still soothing and helpful for me. I found that I could “feel” the images rather than see them. For those of us who aren’t able to visualize, how can we make the most of a guided meditation program such as yours?
You don’t have to see pictures in your mind to get the benefits of meditation. Simply listening and relaxing just as you did will do the trick! Visualizing engages your mind away from your normal stressful thoughts. If you listen and find yourself engaged by the narrator’s voice that’s enough to lower your heart rate bringing your body into a state of balance without seeing the pictures in the mind’s eye.
You’re probably quite empathic if you were “feeling” the images. That’s absolutely fine!
One thing I will add though, is that you can train yourself to see images. There is a part in the book, “Guided Meditation” for the Re-Awakening program about how to do this. An easy way to begin to see images is to hold a shiny red apple in your hand and stare at it for 2 or 3 minutes and then close your eyes. You will “see” it very clearly. Try to hold the image in your mind even as it begins to fade. Do this over and over with different objects you can hold in your hand and you will train your “inner eye” to see images.
How often do you meditate? What benefits have you found in your own life as a result of meditation?
I meditate once per day in the mornings. I’m going to start meditating 2x per day and use the Re-Awakening relaxation meditation at night before I go to bed.
There are many benefits of meditation. It has completely transformed me from someone who would get upset over things to someone who takes things in stride. Things just do not bother me like they used to. It’s such a relief to be calm and centered no matter what is going on around you.
Meditation also helps you become more tolerant and less judgmental of others. You don’t feel the need to criticize others after you’ve been meditating for a while. You forgive more easily. Drama ceases to engage you. You just become so much more mellow, which results in much better relationships in every area of your life.
When you are calm and relaxed your health improves. I rarely catch colds or feel tired. I have a lot of stamina and can keep going for hours without tiring. I also fall asleep fast and sleep very well right through the night. And, I’m told that I don’t look my age. Meditation is known to slow the aging process. To me this is one of the greatest benefits!
Do you practice the same meditation each time, or do you mix it up?
I have been practicing for so long that I do use the same meditation every day. The meditation that I practice is called Sahaj and it is the one that I used to teach. It is a spontaneous awakening of the Kundalini. Once the Kundalini energy rises through the spinal column your thoughts cease. You are in a state of suspended animation without thoughts for the length of your meditation. When you stop all thoughts you see the world differently. The narrator (ego) is no longer in control and dictating how you view reality. Being in a state of “thoughtless awareness” is life altering. You realize how “small” you have become while living under the thumb of the ego. You are spiritual being housed within a body for a temporary stay.
When we lose sight of what we really are and accept the reality of the ego, we “shrink” our spirit down to the size that will fit in this little body, but we are so much more than that. We are expansive beings of energy and light with no beginning and no end. Disengaging from thoughts changes your perspective from a small self that identifies with the view of the world according to the ego to the greater Universal you that is part of the All.
To practice this type of meditation you need a teacher and it is best to meditate in a group. I may offer this as an advanced course in the future. This is why creating The ReAwakening is so wonderful – you don’t need a teacher or a group. You just pop on your headphones and get comfortable!
For now I am incorporating the ReAwakening meditations into my evening routine, I love being guided into a deep state of relaxation. It is such a treat! I will follow the directions I wrote in the course and rotate which meditations I listen to throughout the month.
I am someone who has avoided meditation my entire life — sitting still and being alone with my thoughts seemed scary for me. This is one of the reasons why I loved your program so much — I had your calming voice to gently guide me. Do you feel that guided meditation works just as well for stress release and inner work as silent meditation?
I’m so glad you enjoyed listening to my voice. Creating the meditations was an absolute joy and a labor of love for me. For many people being alone with their own thoughts is scary. That’s why using a guided meditation is the gentlest way to overcome this. Start with these and you don’t have to be alone with your thoughts. Later on, you could experiment with self-directed meditation.
Yes, guided meditations work terrifically for stress release and inner work. When you are deeply relaxed your body returns to a natural state of balance in which it can heal itself. Often guided meditation works better simply because your mind doesn’t wander as much as it might if you were doing a self-directed meditation so you relax more deeply and process more of the “inner work.” The best part about these meditations is that the special language and tones we use in the background help you go into even deeper states of relaxation than you would on your own.
If you were someone who was meditating for years on your own you wouldn’t need to be guided. The guided meditations are perfect for the busy individual who wants to meditate but has no idea where to start. It’s better to meditate for 10 or 15 minutes than to not meditate at all. And if you go deep enough you will get all the benefits of a longer meditation anyway.
What is your hope that someone who completes your program will come away with? How will their life be different because of it?
My hope is that they will keep meditating for life. I also hope they will teach their children to meditate. Meditation will enable then to cope better in every situation. Their emotions will not flare up and hijack their reasoning ability. They will not react hastily and in anger like they used to. They will end up creating more peace and harmony in their homes and in the work place. If you stick to meditating for at least a month you won’t want to give it up and you’ll want to share it with everyone you know!
We could truly create peace on earth because peace begins within each of us…
What do you most want to give to the world?
Peace, love, acceptance, understanding and more compassion. All of these things are possible when we are peaceful and loving toward ourselves. Meditation is a doorway to inner peace and loving and accepting ourselves and each other.
Is there anything else you would like to share?
If we could create a culture of peace by starting with ourselves we could truly change the world.
P.S. – I loved this program so much that I became an affiliate. 🙂
I have been using Jon Kabat-Zinn’s CD’s to meditate. I love them and they have helped me reduce my stress so much. I find them a little hard for a beginner. I would love this program.
Kel
I have liked both pages– my facebook name is Gilliland Caravan.
Meditation is hands down, the quickest and most effective way for me to de-stress. When I feel overwhelmed, I just do a simply counting on the inhale and exhale. If I have a little more time, I love doing the meditations found on fragrantheart.com. I find guided meditations to be so wonderful for my mood and productivity!
Thanks so much for the opportunity! I loved reading the interview, too.
This is such a wonderful gift to receive, many years ago i was very motivated and connected to self, i found that i was at peace and so content, with the help of guided meditations and been true to me. I have lost my way so to speak, i find that i am always stressed, my body is reactive and my kids get psyco mom. It would be lovely to be given the tools, to create a shift.
Thanks
I was meditating pretty regularly a few years back, and I must say, I need to get back to it, especially in these stressful times. There is something special to quieting your mind and hearing and feeling the messages that come to you. I would love to win this program.
Thank you and have a wonderful day!!
Great interview! I’ve been (attempting) to meditate on and off for the past 6 years or so. I’ve taken Jon Cabet’s mindfulness course (not given by him, given by someone who trained with him). I usually meditate about 10 minutes a few mornings a week. But I’d really like to do it everyday for at least 20 -30 minutes. I must work at building this habit more consistently.
I like both pages on Facebook.
I’ve been trying to mediate off and on for a while but don’t feel very successful with it. This sounds like a wonderful opportunity!
This will be excellent for my 22 years old daughter that is awakening to the spiritual world. Is the best way to start.
Jodi,
Thank you so much for being a reviewer of The ReAwakening Meditation Program and for this wonderful article and interview. I feel so blessed to be able to offer this life-changing meditation system to people. I would love to hear from some of the readers who have started it using it to see what miracles occur in their lives after a few weeks of meditating.
xoxo,
Angela
You’re so welcome, Angela! I think that’s a great idea to get some feedback from those who are going through the program. Big hug to you! XO
I don’t even know how to begin to meditate which is probably why I’m so stressed all the time. Well, that and it’s April 12th and I’m a CPA. I enjoyed the interview and appreciate the opportunity to win the giveaway!
I liked them on FB and already like you Jodi! 🙂
Hi, meditation has reduced my stress and helped me connect with my guides and listen to what my next steps are. I love it, and Angela is awesome!
I have been using meditation for years. The main benefit for me is the destressing that takes place during a guided meditations which allow me to be open to the positive energies around me instead of being burden down to a point of fatigue. The Reawakening Course could be my healing tools to help me with bad stress and my health. But I’m not very luck so I look forward to hear wether or not I can afford it.
Jodi, believe it or not I have never meditated. I’ve prayed and sat quietly—okay, maybe I sat not so quietly. I, like you, was uncomfortable with the idea of meditation. I was afraid of losing control of my own thoughts or afraid that if I calmed my thoughts that something else would come in and take over. I believe this line of thinking comes from my Christian background. Anyway, I don’t really know how to meditate but after reading this article and hearing what Angela had to say, I feel ready and open for meditation…especially now with my book launch looming and the house in foreclosure! Talk about a mixed bag! LOL!! I’m grateful for all of it though…even the tough stuff.
Sending love,
Leah
I have tried meditation on and off for several years (15, 20?) and have never been able to sustain a practice for long. I know that the benefits are worth the effort, it’s just so hard to carve the time out of a busy day (when I no doubt need it most). I read the interview with Angela and this looks like a great product, but I hesitate to buy it right now because it would be one more thing on an already full “to-do list”. Ah, the dilemma!
I love meditation and I meditate everyday – 10-20mins no more.
I have no set meditation and I pick up the one that “speaks” to me on the day.
Meditation relaxes me so I can connect with my guides and it helps me go inside myself to get answers. It also keeps me calm and focussed. I feel so good.
I like to meditate, and always come away feeling centered and calmer after. But for some reason, time slips away from me and its always ” ill do it tomow. Or this weekend., or next week. I could you the help getting into a regular practice
I have a hard time quieting my mind to meditate, i do like it when I stop and take the time to meditate. It relaxes me and i hope getting a better meditation practice will help with stress and help me just be. These CD’s sound wonderful that they could help me.
My meditation time is one of the things helped pull me out of a deep depression. It helps me be fully connected to my body and helps me re-set my brain. I usually take a 15-minute meditation break twice a day. The inspirations that come during my quiet time have helped me both personally and professionally. I would LOVE having a complete new set of materials to help me meditate even more efficiently. Can’t wait to see what this set is all about!
I love the interviews that you do!
And I love the space that meditation creates. When I enter into meditation it helps to quiet the mind and opens our minds to divine inspiration. I love the moments I have spent in meditation and have made it a new goal to meditate twice per day, I am not quite there yet but am grateful to have set the intention and to be working towards it! As I am writing this thinking it may be beneficial to start scheduling it into my day before everything else gets in there! 🙂 Many blessings to you both! With gratitude, Elizabeth
I need to meditate. I know I need to meditate, yet my ego comes up with the most creative reasons why I can’t. Part of me thinks that if I slow down too much I might feel too much or not enough, but either way, my soul is patiently waiting for me to connect . 🙂
Thank you so much to everyone who commented! I loved reading all of your thoughts about meditation.
Congratulations to Leah for winning! 🙂
